I agree with the main point of the video, but you contradicted yourself: At 1:19 you ascribed the “typical temperature range” of that part of the planet as 0 to 100F, but at 2:21 you said it’s 15 to 30C. 0 to 100F is equivalent to -18 to 38C (after rounding). So really that range has 56 degrees of range, not 15….

Stupid argument. Using the standard of the majority makes it easier for everyone but changing the standard of a small country like the usa is never going to happen so these arguments achieve nothing.

I agree with a more restrained version of this video. Fahrenheit is, objectively a better scale for measuring the temperature outside. And it's not a matter of being used to it or not, it is simply just a more expressive scale that corrrelates near perfectly with percentages. And yeah, 32 and 212 don't really make sense for freezing and boiling points, sure, but remind me, when was the last time you needed to consciously choose a temperature to freeze or boil something? I'd probably guess... Never? You freeze something by putting it in your freezer, and you boil something by putting it in a kettle or atop your stove. You don't need to precisely know how hot or cold you have to make the water because it will literally just happen naturally, it will visibly be frozen or visibly be boiling. In everyday life, temperature only really has to be a vibe centric measure, in sciences and more precise fields of work, sure, celsius is fine. But in everyday life, the only metric that matters is "how hot or cold is it outside?" And Fahrenheit gives you that as, effectively a percentage. Job's a goodun.

There is a 3rd option.

As an allergy sufferer, taking a night shower helps remove any allergens gathered from going out in the world and from working at my dirty workplace (I teach high school, the building was built in the 70s, and the vents are crammed full of dust). It helps me sleep better and keeps me healthier. You can also get bamboo sheets to keep your body cooler and sweat less. I guarantee you that you wouldn't be able to tell the difference in smell between a morning or night shower person.

Fruits are things with seeds. The thumbnail shows tomatoes with seeds. Pumpkins are fruits. The reproductive parts of a plant are the fruit (Besides seeds) bread is a vegetable because it comes from seeds. Broccoli is a fruit, at least the branch part. Potatoes are fruits. Well as somone who grew up with celsius I have no refernace point to temperature in F but have a good understanding on how 16c vs 20c feels like. As far as I see it there is zero reason to argue that farenheit is better. The same could also be said about celsius but in my mind it is cenvenient to have negative Numbers represent Cold and postive for wormth with a zero at the point of rain turning into snow

As an American, I want to dump Fahrenheit in the trash. It is inconsistent. It takes a lot of effort to properly get Fahrenheit. People use x1.8 and add 32 to get it from Celsius. Okay, so 100 Cº is boiling so 216º F is boiling, right? Wrong, it is 214ºF. Horrible

Interesting thing to think on. Why so condescending about me just wanting to feel nice after a hard day tho. totally agree Fahrenheit is superior to metric. A mere fifteen degrees between comfortable and hot in Celsius is so stupid with everything in between in decimals. Celsius has a bit of a snob appeal for all the countries that use it because they realize the mistake they made by abandoning Fahrenheit and look to the US with envy who is still using a system that makes a lot more sense. Imperial rules and will be adopted again by the C countries
